MIRENAT®-NT is a liquid food preservative based on LAE® (Ethyl lauroyl arginate HCl).
The use of preservatives for fresh meet is not permitted in the European Union. However, it can be used in products to be exported outside the EU.
In the USA and Mexico the use of LAE® is approved in fresh meat at a dose of 200 mg/kg.
In the USA, Chile and in the CODEX when LAE® is applied in fresh meat it is considered a processing aid and, therefore, labelling is not required.
The maximum doses permitted in each application and country are available upon request.
It reduces the risk of presence of pathogens such as Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella spp. and Escherichia coli.
Broad spectrum of activity against all types of microorganisms, which allows to prolong the shelf life of food products.
It does not modify the organoleptic properties of the treated products .
Low dose of application: 1-2 g/kg in the final product. Doses will depend on to the regulation of each country.
Easily applied to the surface of food products after dilution of MIRENAT®-NT at a dose of 50-100 g/kg in deionised water.
